Encamp, with the Grandvalira ski resort at your door-step with the "Funicamp" gondola

The parish of Encamp is right in the centre of the country. Just a few kilometers from the bustling capital Andorra-la-Vella but without the noise and traffic.   There are 2 main towns in the parish: Encamp and Pas de la Casa.

In the town of Encamp itself, traditional and modern features go hand in hand.  Constructions dating from the Romanic times and modern 21st century buildings can often be seen side by side. The situation of the town (1'250m above sea level) and the connection with the ski resort thanks to the Funicamp, have made Encamp a popular year-round destination, offering skiing in the winter and cultural, adventure and relaxing holidays during the summer.

The Funicamp is is the largest gondola in Europe and connects Encamp with the ski resort of Grandvalira. It takes less than 20 minutes to cover the 6 km that separates Encamp from the top of the beautiful "Cortals valley" at 1'502m with its breathtaking views and where the skiing starts. 

During the winter season a touristic train takes skiers and others from the centre of town tothe gondola and back again. It operates from 08:30 to 17:30 non stop.

In the Funicamp building you will also find:
- A bar and restaurant, open every day from 8 AM, where you can get the dish of the day, sandwiches other food and drinks.  Large terrace.
- Ski lockers (just 3 Euros for 24 hours) for skis, boots and other sport equipment.
- Ski Rental shops and ski pass purchase
